Don’t think small!

Don’t think small!
Make your tent bigger!

“Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!

“Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who’ve never experienced childbirth!
You’re ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women.”

God says so! “Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out!
Think big!
Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep.
You’re going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family.
You’re going to take over whole nations; you’re going to resettle abandoned cities.
Don’t be afraid-you’re not going to be embarrassed.

Don’t hold back-you’re not going to come up short.

You’ll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory.

For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.

Fear not; you will no longer live in shame. Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain.
My covenant of blessing will never be broken, says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones.
I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.

No weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken! (Isaiah 54:2-4, 10, 12, 13, 17 NLT)
